JAPAN CIDER CUP 2025

The Japan Cider Cup was held for the first time in November 2022 organised by InCiderJapan, inaugurating the country’s first cider competition awarded by the public.

The contest, open to all domestic and international home cider producers, is judged by members of the public as well as culinary professionals from around the world. The winners receive their prize in next year’s edition.

This event is free and open to all kinds of public, who can not only taste but also buy the participating ciders, as well as other types of drinks, food and participate in exhibitions and talks.

This year’s Japan Cider Cup took place on Saturday 31st May at Tokyo Tama Mirai Messe, with 106 participants from 11 countries.

The best ciders of the competition – Best in Show – were the national Shinano Blend Sweet, from Marukame Cidery and the international Earl Blue, from Annapolis Cider Company.

The Asturian cider represented by Exner Craft Apple Cider was awarded the gold medal in the Traditional Dry category.
