JAPAN CIDER CUP 2025

The Japan Cider Cup was held for the first time in November 2022 organised by InCiderJapan, inaugurating the country’s first cider competition awarded by the public.

La Copa de Sidra de Japón se celebró por primera vez en noviembre de 2022 organizada por InCiderJapan, inaugurando la primera competición de sidra del país premiada por el público.

The contest, open to all domestic and international home cider producers, is judged by members of the public as well as culinary professionals from around the world. The winners receive their prize in next year’s edition.

El concurso, abierto a todos los productores de sidra casera nacionales e internacionales, es evaluado por miembros del público, así como profesionales de la gastronomía de todo el mundo. Los ganadores reciben su premio en la edición del próximo año.

This event is free and open to all kinds of public, who can not only taste but also buy the participating ciders, as well as other types of drinks, food and participate in exhibitions and talks.

Este evento es gratis y está abierto a todo tipo de público, que no solo pueden degustar sino adquirir las sidras participantes, así como otro tipo de bebidas, comida y participar de exposiciones y charlas.

This year’s Japan Cider Cup took place on Saturday 31st May at Tokyo Tama Mirai Messe, with 106 participants from 11 countries.

Este año la Copa de Sidra de Japón tuvo lugar el sábado 31 de mayo en el Tokyo Tama Mirai Messe, con 106 participantes procedentes de 11 países.

The best ciders of the competition – Best in Show – were the national Shinano Blend Sweet, from Marukame Cidery and the international Earl Blue, from Annapolis Cider Company.

Las mejores sidras del concurso- Best in Show- fueron la nacional Shinano Blend Sweet, de Marukame Cidery y la internacional Earl Blue, de Annapolis Cider Company.
