CHILE INTERNATIONAL FERMENTED BEVERAGES CUP/ Copa Internacional de Fermentados de Chile

The International Fermented Beverage Cup held between 22 and 26 November this year corresponds to the 3rd edition of the formerly called Copa de Fermentados del Sur de Chile, which has been held since 2018, initially focused on the production of beer, cider and mead from the south of the country. As a result of the growth of these sessions, today it has become an international event that unites the main fermented beverages in production and current consumption and where the aim is to share knowledge and experiences between participating producers, suppliers, consumers and distributors from all over the world.

With the collaboration of Patagonia’n Yeast, a leading Chilean company in fermentation innovation and one of the main developers of new strains for the fermented beverage industry, the 1st International Fermented Beverage Cup took place at Viña del Mar University and brought together producers of beer, wine, kombucha, mead and our favourite product par excellence, cider.

The Asturian Exner Craft Apple Cider has achieved a new international recognition by obtaining the highest award in the Professional Category, not only in the Standard Cider and Perry group, but also as the best product of the contest, the so-called Best of Show.

On the other hand, I must congratulate the Chilean cider team Tencai for winning gold in the Professional Category, within the Special Cider and Perry group, with their Tank! fire cider made in collaboration with the brewery Bodega Ergo.
