INTERNATIONAL BREWING AND CIDER AWARDS/ Premios Internacionales de Cerveza y Sidra

The oldest international brewing and cider competition in the world has reflected the changing trends of the world wide brewing industry for over 130 years.

The International Brewing and Cider Festival, born from the International Brewing & Cider Awards which began in 1886 is a not for profit event that wants to support the local Manchester community by bringing a fantastic opportunity to sample products from around the globe. The festival gives both trade and the public a chance to sample products from all entries and award winners.

This year the competition took place from 19th to 21st March followed by the International Beer and Cider Festival on 22nd and 23rd March which was held at Mayfield Depot, Manchester. The event was spilt into two zones, The Competition Zone (awards entries) and The Bar Zone.

Their aim was to bring the industry and the community together to celebrate excellence in both brewing and cider making, giving breweries and cideries a platform to promote their brand, showcase their products and most importantly, tell their stories.

Once again, Grupo El Gaitero has achieved recognition at this festival, winning two medals: gold for El Gaitero Etiqueta Negra in the category of Modern Semi-Dry Cider and silver for its Spanish Cider Red Grape in the category of Ciders with other Fruits and Flowers.
