ASTURIAN CIDERS AT SALON GOURMETS ’25/ Sidras asturianas en el Salón Gourmets ’25

Salon Gourmets held its 38th edition from 7th to 10th April at IFEMA Madrid exhibition centre, positioning itself as the leading premium food and beverage event in Europe and one of the most renowned globally.

2,100 exhibitors displayed more than 55,000 products to 100,000 visitors, showcasing the most exclusive trends in the food and beverage industry today.

This event stands out for its commercial focus and becomes the most visited meeting point for national and international professionals from the gastronomic field, including restaurants, hotels, distributors, catering services and specialised shops.

As it could not be less, Asturias was represented by 32 agri-food companies and their PDO and PGI regulatory councils. This edition also paid tribute to the cider culture, recently recognised as Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, with activities coordinated by Asturex – Society for the Foreign Promotion of the Principality of Asturias – together with the Regulatory Council of the Cider of Asturias Designation of Origin.

On the opening day, a traditional Asturian “espicha” (convivial meal) was offered with natural cider pouring and visitors were given a scarf with the motto ‘We are Heritage’, as well as a virtual activity that allowed visitors to live the experience of pouring cider.
